Today more than ever, families are choosing cremation. For over 40 years Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery has been providing cremation services to Hudson Valley families.

Our  Cremation Facility is handicap accessible and includes a Ceremony Viewing Room  where families can gather for a committal service before cremation or as a gathering place for reassurance and closure. Our Cremation Facility and Viewing Room can only be scheduled and accessed through a licensed funeral director.

If you have lost a loved one and are interested in our cremation services, please contact a funeral home to schedule a service through the Cemetery Office.

Although cremation is considered final disposition, here at Poughkeepsie Rural, we are committed to serving the needs of each family and we offer many options at varying price ranges. We feel the role of ceremony and a lasting memorial are important in the recovery process.

Our staff is on hand to assist you and your family should you choose a final resting place here at our cemetery. (It is our continued belief that every life is worth loving and remembering.)
